Dear friends and colleagues!

We invite you to participate in the 4th Festival of Non-Formal Education that will be held on December 7-9, 2012.

The Festival in Belarus has already become the traditional event in the professional communication, as well as a holiday for lots of teachers, andragogues, trainers and other people sharing the values of life-long learning and non-formal education. Underlining the role and possibilities of non-formal education in improving the quality of life and achieving the aims of regional development we seek to

present non-formal education as a system providing the life-long development of social, civic, professional competencies and creativity;

present a variety of programmes and the specific character of non-formal education approaches for all generations in different regions;

encourage the experience exchange and establish partner relations among the participants;

organize the discussion of tendencies and prospective development of non-formal education for different generations.

The Festival arose as a national event for the Belarusian educators. Nevertheless, presentations and reflection of national experience should always be accompanied by comparison with modern international tendencies.

The issues dealing with intergeneration interaction and non-formal education accessibility for older people represent such tendencies for the Festival 2012. Joining the European year of active aging and dialogue between generations we render the topic of the 4th Festival as “Non-formal education for all generations”.
